

IS BREATH WORK LIKE MEDITATION OR YOGA?
It is a form of meditation, but it's more active, meant for healing rather than relaxation. It does lead to a highly meditative state afterward.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
Between 50 to 70 minutes from start to finish, including introduction, the setting of intentions, integration, and authentic relating immediately following the breathing.
WHAT DOES A SESSION ENTAIL?
We inhale and exhale through the mouth while lying down, preferably on the floor without a pillow under our heads.
WILL THERE BE MUSIC?
Yes, there will be music. and verbal guidance.
CAN I BE OUTDOORS WHEN TAKING ONLINE CLASS?
Yes, as long as there aren't any distractions and you could hear the audio.
WILL I GET DIZZY OR PASS OUT?
You may feel a little light-headed and fall asleep.
CAN I GET HURT?
No, but it's not a good idea to stand up immediately after practice as you may fall, and it is not recommended to practice while standing, driving,
or in water.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO FEEL IN A SESSION?
Release of emotions
Body temperature fluctuations
Body stiffening, especially in the hands or jaw known as tetany
Muscle tightness
Tingling or electric
Body movement, shaking, or undulating
WHAT ARE SOME CONTRAINDICATIONS?
Asthma
Aneurysms
Cardiovascular disease and/or irregularities including prior heart attack
Detached Retina
Epilepsy
Glaucoma
High Blood Pressure that is not controlled with medication
History of strokes or seizures
Osteoporosis
Pregnancy
Prescription blood thinning/anti-clotting medications
PTSD
Bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
